I WONDER WHAT THE AMERICAN GOVERMENT WOULD DO IF AMERICANS GO OUT IN THE STREETS AND START USING VIOLENCE TRYING TO OVERTHROW THEIR GOVERMENT,THEY WOULD DO THE EXACT SAME THING AS IRAN,EGYPT,LYBIA ETC,OR WHAT,WOULD THEY LET THEM START THROWING ROCKS,BOTTLES AND OTHER ITEMS AT POLICE AND DON'T EXPECT THEN TO BE SHOT? chavez support iran because of his anti-imperialist action and because he is concerned that USA might attack iran.
He also wants to help palestine.
Ahmadinejad and Chavez are from 2 different sides.
Cavez is lef, Mahmoud is Right winger.
Chavez is Socialist. In iran Socialism and Atheism are forbidden by the threath of death penalty. So if USA would leave Iran alone, chavez would stop supporting iran.

One thing missing from Western news is intelligent, constructive criticism of left wing governments from a leftwing perspective. So this is welcome. Like the interviewee I appreciate a lot of what Chávez has done, and I understand the sense of strategic alliances with Iran, for example, but I think Chávez is misguided in embracing certain figures to such an extent, apparently just because they have been slandered by rightwing propaganda. It doesn't make them "good guys".

Why is "The Real News" seeming to be promoting the Bush/Obama black operations designed to overthrow the Iranian government. What is the background of your guests? Its always nice to listen petty-bourgeoisie dreamers like their guest that talk in defense of un-defensible.
Especially talking about RATIONs in 80s, passing them as subsidies. What plain ignorance, or lying.
Real News media should interview number of people from Iran, right now, be that officials or regular people.
