Ed Butcher - 1991 Pulse 'Auto Bike' Ford 4 cyl. engine

Ed Butcher was President of Owosso Motor Car Company, producers of the Pulse, from 1985 until it closed in 1990. This video clip is from February 1991 and shows Ed Butcher continuing to innovate & improve the Autocycle design. Using a Ford Festiva 4 cylinder 1.3 Liter engine, Butcher called his new vehicle the "Auto Bike". You can see Ed is very happy with the performance and the improved reverse system utilizing the Ford automatic transmission. The fiberglass body will resemble the Pulse body when completed.

I am glad these videos are finally starting to show up on you-tube. I have lived in a vacuum of information on these vehicles since I grabbed his brochure in 1986. Compare the 1986 price of these cars compared to today's Peravs Economobile, I'd think there would be renewed interest in seeing these vehicles return to the market.
