A sample of strength and conditioning exercises that I enjoy doing besides weightlifting and my typical Beachbody programs like P90X and Insanity. Some days I just want to let out some aggression and beat on some tractor tires. There have been times when I pounded on my tires 1,000 times, 500 swings per arm with my sledgehammer. If that doesn't release tension, I don't know what else will.

I got these tires free from Big-O. I've yet to drive some screws through the inside to keep them together while training. I made the 24" box and the steel piping for my adjustable "kettlebell", which I can load multiple Olympic plates with. I made the ab wheels out of 6" lawnmower wheels and a couple 9" bolts from Home Depot, put together with a few 1/2 nuts and wrapped the bolts with tape to serve as padding.

These are simple, but very highly effective implements for conditioning. There are many more every day devices that can be used as well, but I've only shown you a few.

  • You look like a mad-man smacking them tyres, looks great fun though!
