Ive seen chrome rims in the snow with salt on the roads.... as long as you wash your rims everyday or time you drive it in the snow you can have chrome rims year round. Just a lot of work!

Here in Canada, they put salt on the road to melt the ice and a car can be rust free for a couple years without any special maintenance... and the sprinkler for an hour or two? I mean, come on.!

Put a sprinkler under your truck for an hour or two when ya get home, then blast er with a firehose for everything else. I had a ford that spend many days on the beach, not an ounce of frame rust, if taken care of properly.
