In the extra stuff of " John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness", the director speak about Fielding as principal influence for the score, you can feel it with this theme.

I don't know, but I'd bet dollars to donuts he's Lalo Schifrin's drummer for "Kelly's Heroes" and the first two "Dirty Harry" movies. His (her?!) style is unmistakeable -- and tight, TIGHT!
