This is the same circuit as shown in my last video but I am spinning a very small diametric ring magnet and used a much larger capacitor.

Here are all the specs: 5 volts "INPUT" from cell phone charger to a circuit of .039 amps current. Cell phone charger has one 1.5 volt AAA battery on the inside. From AC/DC rectifier WITHOUT the 4 lamp LED load I metered 124 volts DC. WITH the 4 lamp load I metered 48 volts DC across the series string of 4lamps. Current through the series string of lamps is .00016 amp.

12/12/2010 Update: I just updated / modified my magnet axle and now I am metering 190 volts DC !!! across the string of 4 lamps. Thats with a 12 volt input. Thought I would take another look at 12 volts also. All is silent running now.

Does anyone have an idea as to construct a single SEC tower "CIRCUIT" that will operate on 12 to 18 volts but is limited on current draw --about a fraction of one amp???? i am constructing this tower and need some input as to how to construct a L1 pancake coil for it.

The watt power USED in this circuit is 1/25 th of the fraction of the one watt power fraction supplied to this circuit. .195 watts in .00768 watts out under a 4 lamp load . All the while the magnet is spinning at super speeds on a Delrin/Acetal plastic rod. To me thats absolutely awesome. This is what we need to power electric automobiles on a large scale. The diametric ring "energizer" magnet is smaller also and spins with blinding speed. The Capacitor sustains lamp power when the energizer is lifted away from the top of the coil. How long depends on the size of the cap.

  • pretty cool! now THAT little magnet is going super fast..

u are right about the caps but its interesting how it sustains those lights so well.. those must be using resistors internally and are made to plug into the outlet or something, otherwise that much voltage would have popped the LED's. (maybe they are higher voltage LED's though..)

also i believe those phone chargers are stepping up the 1.5V and putting out 5v @ around 90mA

  • @Magneticitist What you are saying is true.. The lamps must

have internal resistors and each lamp bulb can plug directly into a 120 volt AC outlet without burning out. They are small night light bulbs. Correct about the phone charger also.

  • Greatt video with good commentary!

How long will the aa battery run for on your setup?

  • @IndianaBuddy I have not tried a long running time yet with a fresh battery,

I have been using a old single AA 1.5 volt alkaline battery and havent been able to kill it yet! Will do the time test sometime this week with a fresh new battery.

  • Nicely done Tom!

  • @tracmag Thanks for the nice comment. If someone can replicate this on a huge scale and keep the watt power at a fraction of one watt he has the answer to tomorrows electric cars I am still exploring all aspects of this. I only hope others do. Its not overunity but its the most efficient circuit I have ever worked with.

We can travel huge distances before a real charge is necessary

  • @64298 I am going to try to lite a 36 inch long fluorescent shop lamp without wires using the 1.5 volt cell phone charger as my main power source. Thats in addition to powering everything else you see on this video. Am winding a long coil presently. Will post video when done.

  • This is great Tom, such a tiny input power it's so cool !
