Just testing a 9.6v 1400Mah pack from a soft-air gun with a 9200 rpm 12v motor. Good low speed duration with the occasional 15 second higher speed runs (30 minutes or more). The pack added 4oz's (100g) which increased the draft which in turn stopped the semi displacement that I got from the 19,000 rpm motor - Results, fit a faster motor, forget about duration, save weight, build a bigger boat.

  • Moves along good! 30 min run time??? WOW! that is excellent! We have a Fire Fighter boat here in Detroit that looks alot like your boat. Nice Work!

  • Cheers, I was hoping to avoid 'the need for speed' and keep the scale, but after running a faster motor, mmmm It looked more real with the bow up andlots of rpm. I reckon it'll end up with about 7.2v, fast motor and give a satisfying bow wave. By the way watched the latest footage with T-Rex. Excellent.
