the film was unfailry judge becaus eof Madonna. It is a remarkable directing debut for a feature, If it was Sofia Coppola who directed this fim, she wouldve been nominated for an oscar. This film got a horrible and unfair and undeserving response due to madonnas involvement. What a shame. Andrea Riseborough is truly amazing and she atleast should have been nominated for some acting awards. Well done Madonna. You made a mighty fine film.

i enjoyed the simplicity of the movie. Oscar nominated for Best Costume. Not a bad movie at all. I like drama movie and this movie takes you back in times. Madonna did great.

A estas alturas del tiempo, aùn no he visto la pelìcula pero me parece por lo que vì aquì, que es un film bastante bien logrado, con una historia bastante buena, y una fotografìa excepcional...BIEN POR MADONNA.

Desafortunadamente nuestra reina del pop ya es muy estereotipada y seguramente no le dieron muchos buenos comentarios en su pelìcula...LO MEJOR ES QUE A ELLA ESO NO LA DETIENE PARA NADA....POR ESO LA AMO....GRACIAS.

Perhaps Madonna's name did put people off, but that was by no means the only reason it was panned. The visual style was all over the place.

the movie was judged as terrible because it is terrible ... & this is coming from a HUGE Madonna fan. If she would have kept it as one story about E. VIII & W.S. w/o the juxtaposed story lines it might have been 1/2 decent, But the entire movie is superficiality gone berserk. But aside from that, her history is even more superficial. Edward VIII didn't "give up the throne for love", he was mostly driven from it because he was Nazi-sympathizing, arrogant, thick, narcissistic bastard.
