This was a unique opportunity to capture a magnitude -5 Iridium Flare (Iridium 59) and the International Space Station all within the same time frame. The flare is at 32° elevation and 171° azimuth from my viewing location. The blinkingn light is a plane that you can hear as the video progresses. The ISS approaches from the Southwest and disappears into Earth's shadow as it goes overhead.
The top planet that the ISS passes closest to is Jupiter and the lower one is Venus.

I'm talking with my daughter who is viewing both events but is about 15 miles Southeast of my location.
