A quick video on how to work the hill holder function in the all new 2010 Subaru Outback and Legacy @ Cityside Subaru.

One thing to note is that you can indeed drive with the hill holder on for as long as you like, but you do have to engage it every time you turn the car off and back on. Other than that it can be on at all times. It is an excellent feature for the Subaru with a standard transmission!

  • Sorry about the sloppy writing. It's early. Seatbelt need to be in for the hill holder to disengage. The break is great, just something to adjust to. Your salesmen should have went over all the benefits! For the sticker it's tough. Probobly take it to an auto parts store and ask them, something that won't ruin the dash. GL

  • Did you have your seatbelt on? It won't relase if your nit wearing

  • can you show how this works on the 2011 Impreza WRX? thanks

  • how does it work with a stick shift? i know like every Subaru has the clutch assist or whatever, is it like as soon as u let the clutch out it holds?

  • where is the hot/cold dial?

  • I hate the new e-brake. I've also hit the truck release twice trying to turn that feature on while stopped at a light. What were the engineers thinking? Also, how do I get that HUGE warning label off my dash?

  • Very cool feature. Wasn't sure how it worked so thank you.
