Handlebars - FloBots Live Denver Free DNC Protest Concert

On Wednesday, the Flobots opened up for Rage Against the Machine. This was a free concert sponsored by Iraq Veterans Against War and the Alliance for Real Democracy at the Denver Coliseum. All footage was shot during the concert, the march, and the stand-off.

After the concert, 10,000 protesters led by the Iraq Veterans marched to the Pepsi Center where the veterans had a stand-off with the police. The IVAW had previously demanded that someone from the Obama campaign meet with them and go over their three points of unity which are:

1.) Immediate withdrawal of all occupying forces from Iraq.

2.) Full benefits for veterans upon their return.

3.) Reparations for the Iraqi people.

After the sometimes tense stand-off, the IVAW earned a victory when a representative of Obama's heard and acknowledged these three points.

A small victory for the people in an epic battle of the oppressed fighting the oppressors. Power to the people!

All the cops seen were videoed during this protest; it was insane.

The audio is inaudible in several parts, so we had to work around those parts. It took awhile to synch live audio with other audio.

From the video standpoint, everything was shot the same day as the free concert and IVAW protest except for the 'We the People' float people are carrying which was shot the day before.

My friend was working right on 18th during this DNC thing and she said there were cops everywhere and it was really hard to get around anywhere.

To bad Obama finally pulled most of the troops out of iraq after 2 years of being in office. The war is still not over. I don't care how many people say it and argue with me. We have 5 thousand special forces training Iraqi police by raiding houses. 20 thousand lower ranking soldiers scouting for missles and IEDs. and 25 thousand high ranking officers going over strategy. We needed Ron Paul. To bad Americans are still completely ignorant and vote on the color of ones skin and not their polocies.
