Exactly how much does it cost to get church staff already being paid millions of dollars in compensation and volunteers to give church orientations. Do they tell new members after the fact what the church believes? Kind of like Mitt Romney deciding to join a radical part of the old Black Panther Party and then asking what they believe. Does church think that new members might get lost trying to find the classroom where they are already attending a class? Decreased Evangelism, incr. orientation.

Found something strange in the 2012-2013 SBCHouston budget. The church leaders decreased ($23,000) the expense for Evangelism, but increased the expenses of the New members. New Members category is to account for the literature and new member orientation. How many of you that filled out a new member card, received literature and were taken on an orientation? Seems kind of strange that a person deciding to join the church as a member would need to be oriented. Where does the money really go?

Budget: 2011 Men's Ministry $29,000 to 2012 $67,500 Is that a 232% increase? What caused that? One of largest budget percentage increase. "Next Level" 5&6 grade was changed to 4&5 grade in Spring 2012 The Second Scene and left out of the budget (not added to another category). Other education category names (high school, junior high, nursery, etc.) stayed the same. Ministers' housing allowance increased $58,750 to $3,233,750, but the mortgage payments are fixed and utilities about the same.

Second baptist Church Houston Pastor Ben Young sold (01/28/2011) the family home at 9008 Randy Dr. Houston, Texas 77055. Ben bought (12/19/2011) half of a duplex house at 6504 Rodrigo St., Unit B, Houston, Texas 77007 and Anne Elliott Young bought (08/22/2011) a high-rise condo (near the Woodaway campus) at 2207 Bancroft St., Unit 304, Houston, Texas 77027 - hcad.org

Weeks ago: Why do the church service leaders say on Sunday morning,"15 services at 5 campuses"? Second Baptist Houston Houston Chron advertisement - Services: Woodway - 3, West - 2, North - 3, South - 1, Cypress - 1. People would say that it is just a mistake, but after months and possibly years of mistakes each Sunday (15 @ 5), it becomes an habitual lie. So easily checked. The question is, "Why are you attending SBCHouston? Feels good, pretty and clean facilities, business contacts,...?

Seems like Lee Maxcy and David Dixon are just as responsible for poor functioning of Second Baptist. Telling people that all the books of the Bible are represented by the monograms in the stained glass window and the dome was inverted was just plain buffoonery. How difficult is it to look at the dome from Voss and count the monograms? Especially when they have access to look and time to verify what is printed and mailed to members. Money given to SBCHouston is money down the drain.

"...the Creation Window was equipped with a special screen that will; make it possible to keep the window visible duriong the worship services." Before Ike, SBC kept the window showing during the Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. Our media dept. contact said that the sun through the windows did not have an effect on the expensive modern cameras. At 11:11 a.m., they choose to darken the room using the the old black screen. WHY do we need a SPECIAL screen? Wasted $. See brochure.

In a SBCH brochure, named "second grand opening l september 12 & 13, 2009" (all small letters), it says, "The overhead dome, with monograms representing each book of the Bible, was inverted, and..." First, the dome was not inverted. The dome is in the same position it was when built. Second, there are 66 books in the Bible, but only 64 mongrams in the stained glass over the stage. Count them. And you believe that the Ike storm "severely damaged" the Worship Center? Suckers.

A Lincoln Town Car is a vehicle. A Lexus is a vehicle. A Lincoln Town Car is not a Lexus. January 2012, Dr. Ed Young said publicly that slander is the same as ending a person's life on Earth (murder). There is absolutely no place in the Bible that says slander and murder are the exact same thing or interchangeable in legal documents, conversations, or new stories. News reporter, "A man was slandered with a knife near Woodway and Voss last night." Get ther point? Does Ed? Liar.

It is fun watching Ed Young make a fool of himself and the Second Baptist Church Houston executivesdeacons/elders. I did not call Ed or the leaders a fool. I say he makes himself and the leaders look like fools. He actually says that slander is telling the truth about somebody. That is not what I read in the Bible Jan. 15, 2012. It says that if I say Dr. (?) Ed Young is a liar that is not slander. See church CD's, videos, books, and documents for the truth.
