I paid off a credit card! (Update to Debt Busters)

Yes, I paid off that high interest Visa, now I am working on that
Citibank card since the 0% APR promotion ends soon.

Let me explain what you see in this video:

I called the credit card company after paying off the balance online. I called them to close out my account (since it reflected a $0 balance and to send me proof, ie, a letter, to state that it's closed. I hate that they didn't include the fact that my account was totally paid off in this letter.

With this said, my account was in good standing before closing it out. Hope this helps!

Are you concerned about your credit score at all? If so, you should wait to cancel your credit cards until you have them all paid off. Canceling a zero balance card while you still have significant debt will really hurt your credit score.

@NotoriousLYNappy1 Income bracket won't allow me to. I requested the letter mainly for this video, but they didn't put on there that I had a $0 balance. For the other debts I pay off, I will be sure to tell them to state that my account was in good standing with no balance due, lol.

Congrats to you ! I am working on paying off my credit cards and student loans. I will have my small personal loan paid off in 4 months ! Then I will start my debt snowball plan for my credit cards then for my student loans! Also wanted to ask you if you are still saving the $5 dollar bills ?
