Two went out, only one returned

"The seaside express"
Saturday 15th August and another diesel railtour was passing my home town, hauled by 47501 47802.
1z47 from Chesterfield to Paignton and it's return 1z48. Nice to see such a smart matching set of stock behind the engines as well.

At my usual location (a couple of hundred yards from my house) we see the pair on the outward leg heading South, though nearly bowled out by an HST. Of course if you like HST's then it an exta :-).

Keeping an eye on the gen groups the return seemed to vanish, for a while. The reason soon became apparent 47802 had been taken off at Exeter due to an electrical problem that kept applying the emergency brakes. The second clip shows 47501 coping admirably with the load as they rush past Treddington, about an hour late. Thanks to the driver for the tones.
