  • is this on Nexus?

  • @305Clan Nope. Also it's gone as my modding pc is broken.

However, if I find out that I wanna play and mod again, I'll recreate this and upload it to Nexus. I think I have some stuff there though

  • @SizzlezMacDaddy This idiot thinks it's cooler to rip off a name from a real gun.

  • @quinnweller

Well, yes and no. The project had to settle on a manufacturing process less precise than the one they had originally intended, because of budget constraints. Obviously the best possible machine tools today are more precise than the best possible machine tools in the 60's and 70's, but even by contemporary munitions standards, gyrojet bullets were cheaply and shoddily made, because they didn't have the money to make them any better.

  • @PanzerDivisionBOM more like technology constraints since america was doing pretty good in the 60's

  • @quinnweller

No, that's exactly what I thought it did. That's what I meant by the hammer striking the nose of the bullet.

The technology could actually make a good sniper rifle. Snipers carry sidearms for close encounters anyway, the sound is harder to pinpoint than a regular gunshot, and with modern machine precision, the bullet could be made very accurate at long range. It's just that the original prototype wasn't, because the rockets had to be shoddily made due to budget constraints.

  • @PanzerDivisionBOM lulz your wrong.

It worked like this:the front of the bullet was strong enough to withstand the impact of the hammer. This would propel the bullet backwards onto a static firing pin which would then light it off. the bullet didnt accelerate fast enough most of the time since its a rocket and they ditched it.

  • @PanzerDivisionBOM also said i THOUGHT they did

  • @fallout3master358

If they did, then why would they not explode when the hammer strikes the nose of the bullet?

Or do you suppose that they actually managed to fit both solid propellant AND a time fuse inside a 13 mm bullet, back in the seventies?

  • lol i always liked how the regular assault rifle looked (kinda dissapointed to hear that the unique assault rifle was taken out..)

  • @Bitchblaster Well i hope you do recreate this because its pretty good and my modding skills are terrible i wouldn't be able to create a weapon like that if i tried.
