This is in no way degrading, conversations like those sharpens your mind. Anyway sorry if it was unpleasant for you. I wish you all the best and good look with your family life.
P.S. Btw I stand corrected, by searching more I found out there is some historical accuracy with the people mentioned in the bible.

The text about round earth is Isaiah 40:22
-
@emcreuter Do you wanna take this on PM, or you got tired?

@emcreuter Here we go -> "It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;"
First of all a circle is not a sphere, a circle is round and flat. People at that time knew exactly what is a sphere and a circle. Then it goes on that god spreads the sky like a tent, they imagined earth being like a snow globe. So pls stop reading with blind faith, open your eyes

@emcreuter "The Bible called the earth "the round earth". He was a smart man, but his blind belief made him not see the part of that text correctly. I'm gonna analyze what exactly does the text says, in my next comment :P (pls feed my addiction to debating MORE! haha)

"And, are you trying to tell me that there has never been any athiests, muslims, or pagans who started wars?"
-There might have been some atheists who started wars, but not on religious differences. I'm speaking for all religions, not just yours.
Historical accuracy of people, places, and objects, validated by archeological finds? I actually searched that, there are none, especially accuracy of people, but places yes.

Despite my atheism I am very open to the possibility of there being a supernatural source to our existence.
What I find laughable and insulting is the Christian notion that their belief system, by default, must be the source. In other words, since we can't prove a supernatural power doesn't exist then Christianity must be the answer. It is one big argument from ignorance and a tragic surrender to stupidity. In its 2K yr history Christianity has never been able to meet its burden of proof!!

nosajj12345 , Like I told Eduncho, I would love to have a discussion, but right now, I need to focus on my wife and chilren. But if I may follow your logic, your comments are one big argument from ignorance and a tragic surrender to stupidity. In its 2k yr history of Christianity, you, nor anyone else have never been able to meet its burden of disprooving the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Look eduncho, you and I could go back and forth indefinately, and accomplish nothing. These little blog bites do no justice for your point of view, nor mine! There's no way I can answer your questions sufficiently in the time constraint or word allotment in these blogs. In many ways, all we are doing is degrading each other by making underlining snears and trying to make the other look foolish rather than seeking truth. Yes, some of the things you say have truth, but it's not the complete truth.

And as much as I would love to continue these deep discussions and seek after that truth, the fact is, I have a troubled marriage at the moment, and three little children under the ages of 8 that I need to put my focus on. If you want to see that as a cop out, so be it. Benjamin Franklin once said that if men were corrupt with religion, what would they be without. I hope you find what you're looking for. Just like America's Founding Fathers saw it, a world without God is worse than one with him.
