RIP Mike Smith and Dennis Payton.
-
Dave Clark resides in the UK. He owns all the DC5 masters and with his royalties he bought the rights to the BBC's music show Ready Steady Go.

You sure don't see many drummers up front like this. Maybe Andy Sturmer of Jellyfish saw these guys as a kid...
-
@altfactor that song was actually covered here in Australia by New Zealand band Max Merritt and The Meteors. Real uptempo version.

Genial grupo de los 60's, tienen unos temas padrísimos.

My Mom loved these guys(DC5)...she couldn't understand why they weren't bigger than the Beatles....they were a superb dance band, with great covers of old R & B hits. They just didn't have the song writing talent on board that the Beatles had.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
what a killer set of drums. one of the best bands ever. they may be lip syncing, but dave clark is beating the hell out of those drums

I never knew the Dave Clark 5 had ever covered the Disney classic song "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah"!
But it was cute!
And while "Everybody Knows" is not as well-known as the band's other hits, but it was a nice mid-tempo pop song of the period.
