  • My mentor the Rev'd Dr. Joseph S. Toth Jr. studied with Marcel Dupre when he was stationed in France and studying organ & choral music in France. I absolutly love the way Dupre plays Bach. It so deliberate and meaningful. Just makes you cry when you hear especially this particular piece.

  • This is a marvelous recording which showcases again the masterful playing of Marcel Dupre on one the greatest instruments in the world. There are blends and sonorities in the reeds of this Cavaille-Coll which almost defy description, as if we enter an altogether different environment untouched by modern cares or anxieties. I cannot walk away from these sounds or delete them from my conscience. Angel recorded Maurice and Marie-Madeleine Durufle at Soissons cathedral playing Bach years ago.

  • Wonderful to hear this recording especially to hear how Widor and Vierne not to mention Guilmant would have coached his playing and technique.

  • Absolutely phenominal! Quite interesting to hear Dupre play this masterpiece.
