I looked back at this routine after a year or so of entering tournies and respected it even more than the first time I saw it. The mindboggling armwork fits the music perfectly, and the crowd is fucking blown away by the performance ("You already won!"). He doesn't play to the crowd, but the spectacle itself is one of the most precise, energetic routines ever performed. This is what our tournaments would have been like if Koreans had entered more of them, hahah.

  • When the machine announcer says "You are too cool!", he has no idea just how true his words are.

  • Good memories of the old days on this one. Gotta love the quality of digital cameras back then.

  • i saw this back in 2003 and still ONE OF THE BEST VIDS i have ever seen in DDR..

  • @Narmo23 I could name dozens of freestyles that are fun to look out. You need to get out more.

JPMoney's My Summer Love, anything by Bruce Leroy, Dinkot's Lupin the 3rd, 001's Pink Rose, Nado's Spin the Disc, I could go on but many of these are on topddrfreestyle's account.

And yes, I've seen a lot of what you're talking about here. But those were from the days of power moves. You know, hand-plants and knee-drops. A-Team stuff.

  • Oh, and about the vid: definitely one of the FEW freestyles that are actually PLEASANT TO LOOK AT. Seriously, most of the freestyles that I've seen is like watching a white guy trying to dance -- it just doesn't work.

Funnily enough, those freestyle vids usually have an asian. It's really sad when such people can't even flow (especially noticeable when they're trying to liquid/rave). Take note that such vids were in early 2000, when raving was POPULAR (at least in Cali).

    Yes, I'm asian :)

  • Good job at pointing out the obvious. Because, y'know, getting AAA in any song is [sarcasm]ridiculously hard[/sarcasm]. Congrats for memorizing the steps while making yourself look like an idiot. Ahh, the memories of playing DDR @ the arcades, when all the fobby-dressing asians (like me!) were AAA'ing and getting crowds going.

Instead of freestyling, maybe you should probably learn how to actually dance? You know, pop & break? Makes you look even better.
