Something different for a change. A perfect song made for the most touching movie I've ever seen.

  • This video (and movie) is a lot like the life I lived.

And yes I did get the girl back 27 years later.

We were married on 1/11/11 - 27 years later to the day that I had originally asked her to be my girlfriend!

  • @melspadt If this is true then it's incredible. I hope you both live out your life together and enjoy what time you have with each other. Thanks for sharing your comment, man.

  • This is the most beautiful, most touching, most awesome video I've ever seen. You did a perfect job and I promise you I have NEVER said that about any other video. Thank You for this gift.

  • @MsSunflower1979 You're most welcome. I'm glad you managed to find this video and check it out. Thanks for watching. I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

  • Great great song!!!..though I'm a bit lost..which is this movie? I don't think it's Xanadu as it's quite old now...

  • @campitos69 The movie is called The Note Book. You should check it out.

  • Wow, beautiful job. Thanks for posting it.

  • Beautiful ! And I have not seen the movie , yet...I love the music you set this to.Thanks for sharing!

  • It's totally true!

I know it's one of those stories you here about that always happens to someone else!

I never went a year without thinking of her!

My proposal to her is on YouTube under "Mel and Esther".

I proposed in the same place that I had asked her to be my girlfriend way back in 1984.

The music is by the band "The Scene Asthetic" that started their band in that house and I met them when I asked their permission to use their yard!

    Check it out!

  • Greatest romantic movie of my time! This video & song captured that passion! What a wonderful job!!!

  • I'd probably have to say this is the most moving song ever written about an end of a relationship...divorce, death, breakup. ELO sings this beautifully and the video that accompanies it is excellent. I'm not a sentimental person but this song has always tugged at my heart.

  • Thanks for posting this! I really do like this one!
