  • don't you ever feel that if you had a soundtrack to your life, Bruce's lyrics and their meanings could very nicely summarize every chapter of your life? I have had this thought for quite some time and when I stumble onto a song I haven't heard, it still relates to some aspect of my life, describes an emotion, a feeling, a mood.

  • You should see the video I posted with him singing "Lift Me Up".

    UNBELIEVABLE!

  • @1967tonyd You might be right. But Jimmy Cliff was the original. No?

  • God bless the E Street Band for the loss of its Big sound. Clarence you'll be so missed.

  • the songs about getting out of jail!!!!

  • @grandepivko yes, thank you, I'm aware. But Bruce Springsteen sings it in a completely different manner... he makes it his own. I have heard the original by Jimmy Cliff and I didn't get the same vibe. That is, the original didn't speak to me in the same way as the Springsteen version does.

  • @foxyoxyyy

Trapped is not by Bruce. Original by Jimmy Cliff.

  • This song is sung live here and look how fantastic and amazing his voice sounds! I guess he is the BOSS for a reason!!!

  • @foxyoxyyy Great observation Foxy. This song certainly relates to a relationship I've had

  • What's politically incorrect about the sentiment that the people involved in USA for Africa saw the plight of other countries as their own plight as well? Especially given that most of the artists involved were Black? Charities don't accomplish much, I'll give you that [too much corruption all around], but I'm not sure I'd call them "politically incorrect."
