This is my 200 Yard IM at the Great Lakes Zone Competition. It was held at Cleveland State University. My final time was 2:02.79. I'm wearing the white cap and the black jammer. Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated

  • nice breaststroke, good finish.

  • I want to get back to swimming so badly. I took a break for 2 months so far, and it is the only thing I can think about right now. It's probably the worst decision I have ever made in my life. Luckily just a few more months until I can swim again. Haha I cannot wait! And good race! My butterfly sucks compared to yours lol.

  • work your streamlines more on the backstroke. your breaststroke pullouts were father than you backstroke streamlines. in a IM the backstroke streamlines should always be the best.

  • how old were you>?

  • Do u ever do the 100 breast?

  • Just wanted to comment that this pool is the location of many of my best races from the 90's. I swam a 1:55 200IM here in the High School District Championship of 1996. Came in second behind the great Mark Seidman and I had him beat after the breastoke leg. Ah, the Glory Days...

  • wow thats amazing. i was there. what team r u from? wow ur amazing. ne ways i think you can hear your parents or sumthin in the backround its cool. any ways nice job!

  • nice job though I.M is the toughest event in my opinion

  • me again. i got u on this i go 2.00.3 and my weakest leg is backstroke

  • nice job i live in canada so we don't do yards but 2:02 yards sounds pretty good

anyway the most obvious thing is your open turns, when you grab on to the wall don't move your head, it shifts your momentum all over the place, so just keep it still and low. you'll find you can turn alot faster. also, don't look to the side until your head submerges, ALOT of swimmers have a tendency to look to the left/right before submerging and that actually slows your turn down alot.

    anyway keep it up :)
