Reply to: School kids taught to praise Obama

Hi, I'm Andrew. I'm 17 years old and live in Michigan. (Therefore not old enough to vote. Keep that in mind) I recently came across the news line from Fox News about the school that had taught ELEMENTARY students a song about Obama.

Um... when I first joined YouTube, my main rule was not to get involved with anything... politically.

However, after viewing this video, I would have to say that I can no longer keep myself out of this.

What kind of world has the U.S. come to when we are exploiting our children for a government leader that won't even be there by the time those same children are ready to vote.

I'm still a little sketchy on the video, not that if it is real or not, but what the purpose of the video is for.

It could be promoting Obama for re-election, in which case, the people in the video are out of their minds.

Because by the time those same children are ready to vote, Obama will be gone. Even if he did get voted in again.

Or, the video could be made to ingrain in the children's minds that Obama is great. Which, again, is wrong. Why should American children be made into political puppets?

I don't care what the reasoning behind this video is really. What matters is the fact that there are CHILDREn in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL being taught to sing a song about Obama.

And before anyone asks if I'm against the Pledge, no I am not. If you don't want your child to say the pledge... have them sit down during it. That's what I did.

Well, All I know is that what has been done has been done, we can't take it back. But I'll be dead before I see something like this and don't protest it. Anyone with half a mind would.

I just watched the video your talking about, and well I was disgusted..

Really disgusted, not by the song or the kids but by that news reported what is that some monkey run TV station.

Jesus that guys a let down to your nation Andrew, sort him out. A Bush was a better president then your current one. You can't really complain your talking about a nation that voted a guy in just because he was black.. if he was a white man he would never have won.

I dont think he was voted in JUST because he was black however. Yes that was a factor but not the sole reason I believe he was also voted in because we all realized that we'd be even worse off with McCain in office

What Im upset about the most is the fact that we can praise him for being the first black president but we cant criticize him for the same. If criticizing him because hes black is racist, isnt praising him as well

Actually, they'll probably do away with medicare and medicaid first. Those are two very socialist programs that just waste tax payer money. Another thing Obama promised to do is reduce the taxes on the rich and on large corporations as well as outsource more government programs to private companies. Reagan started that and Obama is finishing the job.

His plans are definitely clear. He plans on supporting an invasion of Iran, even though Iran poses no threat to the US. He plans on continuing the illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan even though it's our presence that keeps much of the violence going. And he plans on continuing the transfer of wealth to tptb. Bush started it and Obama continues it. They own him and they want their money, yours too, and they'll get it.

Go to topkid10 if you want the latest Bush action figure. There are other places as well. As far as "rights" are concerned, we lost those in 2001.

The Patriot Act I & II took away habeas corpus. We've lost posse comitatus. We lost the Davis-Bacon Act so now minimum wage can be paid for any government work.

The far left doesn't exist in the US. If you're afraid of them, then you don't see straight.

As far as getting rid of the elite, I hope your talking about corruption. The elite seem to be the powers that be. I am personally disgusted when I hear these people that represent me (President/Congress/Senate) call me "average", as if to place me in a class separate from them. They work for the people. If you want to change your situation, change it. It is not up to the Gov to take care of us. It is not the effort of Gov. that makes us great it is it's wonderful, hardworking people.

As far as President Obama choosing, your right he is not choosing, he has chosen. If you go back and watch the campaign he is very open to his plans, he did not beat around the bush. He came right out, share the wealth, It seems he is choosing his path carefully, these are smart, well educated people do not think for one min. that this is not carefully planed out. I hope other's feel the way I do, I worked for what I have and you can't just take it away from me. I don't want what is yours.

President Bush's approval rating was so low that I don't think that there are that many that are crying. President Obama is not,I believe, a mouthpiece for their cause. He is front and center. The far left have been working for years to perfect the "fundamental change of the US". We the people have been living our lives, in some cases blind to these facts. You, me and all the American people need to watch, listen, and take action so that we do not lose our Constitutional Rights.

I agree with you completely. However, your conclusion is incomplete. I'm glad to see that you are not mixing one cult of personality for another like so many others here who have Bush dolls at home and cry.

The direction is not of Obama's choosing. He's merely the mouthpiece. Those who bought and paid for the Republicrat Party want their ROI and they will get it. It's not stand strong, it's dump the elite and get back to a country for the people, not for the elite.
