  • Was this filmed in ATX? Looks like Texas landscape with the Live Oaks.

  • @umdiscodevinil me neither, every time i see it i learn something different

  • I can't get enough of this video! o/

  • @Waxxy57 jerry goodman did the original

  • Where did this song originally come from? I can't find it on iTunes or anywhere else!

  • who the hell disliked this

  • @D , I suspected it might not be his house and perhaps was a "rental" or loaned for the video shoot. The main point was that he's making a VERY good living playing drums - which is rare. He's managed to find a combo of session work, a regularly working road band (which is where the real good money is at) and now training and sponsorship- all, which I'm certain earns him more than most professional's can make in other fields of work. He's working REAL hard, but he's doing what he loves too do.

  • @cmsent11 that house is not of him, is of his rich friend. He explain it on a interview :D

  • This is incredible!!

  • @btevoxboy6835 Wrong. I can play this, but i can't play anything.

  • One of few drummers I've seen besides Buddy Rich and a hand full of others that can truly do an actual ONE HANDED ROLL and not even break a sweat. His feet are fast as lightening, he's got a brain-clock that can keep time to anything. The guy is REALLY SH T hot good. REALLY good. Beautiful home he's got there also. I've heard people ask, "why would this guy be playing with Styx?". Well, he can go on the road REGULARLY with them, probably pulling down $250K to $500K annual = HOUSE you see.

  • @ChopsLikePuddin

well it does change, but on the dvd this is the main sig that todd describes

  • @Jabarichonicles That would make it 4/8+9/8, which is the a completely different feel. The song does exhibit both the 7+6 and 4+9 feels, however.

  • @AsymetricDrummer bridges

  • This is exactly a 6/8 measure with a 7/8 measure with biriges in 7 and 9 and 12/8

  • fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuuuuuckinggg Beaaatifullllll!!!

  • What is the damn timing? I am stupified! Ha , really one bad ass dude.!Todd U Rule!

  • you can talk about heavy metal all you want, if you can play this, you can play anything.

  • @Padischah88

no, im not counting it like that, but is it harder to say 1e+a 1e+ 1e+ 1e+ or the other...counting like this makes it easier to count out loud and for odd time makes it split up into easier measures to count instead of counting with words...its also just a personal prefrence...idc what u do, thats just how i learned it

  • @Jabarichonicles since when do you count with 1's ?! omg

  • this is just awesome. this is what great drumming is all about.
