I was in the Everest region on a mission trip in 2004 in Namchee Bazaar and I got retinal detachments due to altitude, I had to hike down to Lukla almost blind and then be helicoptered out to Kathmandu. When we landed there were huge riots going on. I had to go to the medical school for an exam and eventually be flown back to the USA. Here is my documentary. • Hi,

You expect this kind of things in Mountain, and it is normal. Don't be penic, the whole world is a place of danger, so keep on mooving. Actually what had happened to you out there?, Cheers mate

  • retinal detachment

unsure why, i was not that high, only 13000 feet, still travel but cannot risk high altitude travel

  • Luke 5:31-32 31Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

  • Awesome stuff. Especially the ending! We all need Jesus.

  • thankyou for the comment

    geoff

  • The men are Sadhus. I think the face paint signifies devotion to the different Hindu gods. Different designs denotes different sects. The body paint is not body paint but in many cases ashes. Sometimes it is ashes of cremated bodies. They dress this way every day.
