After 6 weeks of handling with great care and giving him ample time to settle and heal mentally and physically, it became obvious (read: William made me clear) by his friendly naughty and expressive behaviour, that he needed to get rid of his exessive energy.
After a 5 minutes rather "jumpy" ride in the horsetrailer (Wiliam clearly jumping up and down in the back, a real problem that needs to be solved), I came to this for him new lunging place, surrounded by meadows with other curious horses.
I somehow managed to make this video, because William never brought me in real trouble.

  • If is a big word 2 letters but so big,, If I had the land n money you bet I would be asking advisement from you, where to find a bute as your gelding, Hope I didn't offend you by wishing sir. I grew up with Morgans, William just brought back old memories.

  • You certainly did not offend me. I had my wish for 15 years, and suddenly everthing "came together", just in time to save William. Hope that happens for you, one day.

Perhaps go to horse shows and meet some hackney people there to begin with?

Morgans are absolutly great horses to watch, but I never worked with them.

  • wish he was mine

  • Why not go out and find a hackney horse yourself?

  • is he showing off or what??

  • This is "just" completely free moving

  • Great, if only the public could see this beautiful horse with wonderful NATURAL action, which they do I suppose with YouTube :) The Hackney is subjected to so much horrendous abuse, worse than the Tennessee Walker in some ways. He is a lovely horse, and one can see his character, and that he is willing, but also that he will learn very quickly. Lots of luck.

  • Wow, what beautiful movement! He really was enjoying himself there, wasn't he! gallop, gallop, gallop, oh hello horses! gallop, gallop, trot trot trot.. Absolutely stunning.

  • I meant to say hes a beautiful horse, but its making me dizzy. LOL

  • Beautiful horses

  • he's full of energy and beautiful!

  • He is BEAUTIFUL!

  • @counterfitthis She was saying that BOTH breeds have serious issues with people abusing them for show, not just Hackneys or Tennessee Walkers.

  • @2baSelkie I'm sorry, but a double twisted wire bit and 10 inch long shanks is not torture enough? Riding the horse at 16 months old with that bit and soring their feet, is that not torture too?

  • What a beauty.

  • He is just a beautiful speed demon isn't he? lol
