Atmospheric flare from a minuteman III ICBM missile

Footage from a webcam on the Canada-France-Hawaii-Telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii presumed to have been caused by a test launch of a Minuteman III missile from California on June 22, 2011. The event was also captured by a camera on the Subaru telescope and witnessed by an observer with night-vision goggles. Discussion thread:

This is the original footage, I extracted it from the CFHT video archives myself.

Note: playback is not perfectly smooth due to the way the frames were captured and stored. Playback rate is also not real-time, look at the time stamps for accurate timing.

@benemery8utube haarp is a simple high frequency transmitter array that fires straight up into the atmosphere. It cannot cause lights over Haiti. Nor is it the evil boogeyman secret government weapon to cause earthquakes that paranoid people who are ignorant of hard scientific facts tend to believe it is.

No it wasn't ,that theory has been disproven already. It was fast the then slow subject to gravity, as said in the evening Honolulu news cast. At this point ??? but we've have several craft/light sitings in the last month or so, what could be call ET activity.

I for one saw something unexplainable. There's been several others that have been sited.

So NO, no missile. And this doesn't fit the Haarp criteria, which appears different, spiral or like a water spout but with fire and heat.
