Another thing to think about: Had you not reacted the way you did and had you taken the problem up the chain over the GM's head, you wouldn't be where you are/were. The Helpline does work, I have personally seen it work 3 times in my years at Menards. All of you out there that say Menards sucks, I would bet at least 8 out of 10 of you suck at your jobs now, and don't understand why your mngrs 'hate' you. It's because you don't do good work + you don't try either. Have fun failing at life.

I currently work at Menard's as a cashier and carryout and I must say that it really isnt that bad of a job. Honestly for a job that required little to no education the pay is not too bad. They offer an extra $2.50 an hour on weekends and you may also receive up to %15 of your total years pay through their profitsharing. In all honesty the place that you work is only as good as the people who work with you and I have to say most everyone who works where I do is great and they are the "zombies"

This guy obviously hasn't worked for very many different businesses. The Menards store I work at is fantastic. I showed up late several different times and should have been fired, but because I was doing a great job, they let me remain employed there. If you do your job well, they're very lenient.

I've had a lot of wrongs done to me, don't feel like writing a novel on here! but the worst part is how they want everyone to have no personality or uniqueness to them. I love piercings/tattoos and the management is a total prick about my one facial piercing. WHO CARES? ITS MY BODY! In fact today I was asked if I like working for Menards and I had to literally stop and think how to answer that. pretty sad. they give just enough benefits/pay so people will stay and keep getting treated like crap

@bethanyygayle Hi, I also worked at ME-Nerds , and you will find a life after wasting your life there , you already know about them trying to use you up and through you away, they will ! Move on as soon as you can ! You will do just fine , always remember to never sighn anything ! They must sighn all wright ups first and then get a copy , because when they fire you for some bullshit reason they will use that against you to fight your unemployment, dont kid yourself they will,then appeal it !!!!!

hopefully someone immature at my store (ALMOST every team member) doesn't read this and decide to say something stupid about it but i just thought people who think menards is so great should know a true story about how employees are treated. some people don't do anything wrong and still get the shaft. don't assume that just because someone made a video, with views opposite your own, they are lazy or a bad employee. you'll figure it out eventually too.

all i asked for was that simple accomodations be made until i'm not pregnant. i've gone above and beyond for the company quite a few times, why can't they go thru with a simple request for me? quite frankly it's bullshit. i'm done asking for things. since the state i live in requires at least a year of work for a company before granting maternity leave i will be working there until i go on leave which is when i will be applying for other jobs.

because i understand policies and procedures and how the company works. i'm a very intelligent person. so tell me, people who doubt this video, what did i do to deserve the way i'm being treated? everything i've said is in all honesty... the only thing i've ever been written up for is not taking a lunch on a shift over 8 hrs and the two times i called off (no dr.'s excuse for the flu because there is no reason to spend money at the dr.'s for something that can't be fixed).
