The video was shot in a private facility. Did you get TNT Properties' permission to shoot your video? No. You actually broke the Mall's policy on video recordings. Most people don't like being filmed while they are eating or spending time with friends and family (that's called etiquette). Call the mall-had security seen you taking a video you would have been asked to leave. I assumed you had permission. Again, it's not my video. I particpated but ask that you respect other's privacy.

I would have preferred to hear Jason talk, rather than be constantly interrupted - you're doing a great job Jason.

Many people have asked if this is my video, it is not. It was filmed at the Sherwood Park Mall during one of my Ward 8 Open Houses. My apologies to anyone filmed in the background that did not want to be in the video. While I appreciate that we are in a TMZ world (where anyone with an iPhone or video can be a citizen journalist), there are better places to host these types of interviews. If you have any questions about my response, email me at gariepy@strathcona.ab.ca
Mr. Gariepy,
Yes, we live in a digital world. However, there is still such a thing as etiquette - and that is why I asked you if I could film this as I was setting up. As a former privacy officer, I can assure you, taking video of a public figure in a public place is entirely acceptable.
I am a resident of your ward and this was not an interview, it was an open house. The video was simply to provide others, who were not able to attend, the opportunity to view the open house.
