That doesnt sound like a Daimler-Benz engine to me.......
-
They both have good diving sounds Nuff said!

THAT IS NOT AN ME 109. Total misrepresentation.
-
@kiereemon absolutely right, as you can see from video, the Spit was catching up with ME109, but these aircraft were very evenly matched-a lot depended on the experience and skill of pilots

If the world had never got jets, and the raf still flew spits, id have joined up the day i was old enough!

At last, a awsome quality video & especially the stereo ( I think) recording of those awesome sounding engines that hasn't been spoilt, perverted or adulterated with music of any sort! (except for the bit at the end that doesnt really matter as they have clearly stopped flying!) I plan to view & especially listen to this many many times! Well done whoever recorded this!!! :)

the Spit can lean more in turns and maintain lift, a distinct advantage over the 109.

Yep, after the war IIWW, the spanish messermichts got shorts of replacements and improved the messermichts with merlins. This plane was called "Buchon", and were the plane which played as actual messemichts in the film "Battle of Britain"
