Chief was the greatest. He died way too young in 1973. If I figure it correctly he was about 50 when he died.

Listen to that harmony. I never got to see them back in the day (was born in '71) but,
even now I can see why they set the standard for ANY gospel quartet. Nobody had the style
& charisma like they did.

The only strange thing about this is the 1960 date. Jake sang 'til the end of '63. But, Chief's hair being so dark means that this must be one of the earliest color videos. Thanks Statesmenfan!
