My father likes Cantonese drama, esp. 南音. When I was small, I don't enjoy them. Now, I was working alone in the Saudi Arabia as an engineer. In the midnight, these songs make my eyes wet. I finally got the feeling lar. Thank you for sharing.

When I was a young child, my father used to play this song and it was already an "old" song! I didn't appreciate it back then but now I am a "mature" person, I can understand why this is considered a classic cantonese opera song! Thanks for sharing! :)

I recall there was is cover version of this song by Yam Kim Fai. It was sung in the same style as Pak Kui Wing. Still remember my mother saying that Yam sang it just like Pak does. Was hoping to find Yam's cover version on Youtube but no luck at all. Thanks for posting this song...I listen to the blues and this song is blues to me..Thanks...

I didn't enjoy Cantonese opera when I was a kid too. I felt it annoying when Grandma was listening it on radio. When I get older, I found it very interesting and touching to listen to those Cantonese opera. I guess this is part of my aging process.
