@Liamautomechanic MG are back now! Making a car called the MG6, it is 'assembled' in Longbridge. They made the TF from 2008-2011, used a updated K-series called the N-series, very reliable, apparently one TF is on 160,000 miles with no problems.

None the wiser; all I saw was the 'mechanic' tightening up the belt tensioner. "check the bottom mark"...all I saw was the engine mounting studs.
Thanks anyway will search for another video.

Which workshop manuals do you use?

@foxdmulder car service data, or haynes manuals, only for tighten settings, or timing marks locations,

@Liamautomechanic thanks, opening my own small service centre, main dealers arentt helpful here in supplying workshop manuals. Understandably theres a cost involved but I think its the only real way of finding out problematic faults on known vehicles.

@donyboy73 aye, the wee rover,200 / 400, prone to head gaskit trouble, but ive fitted the mod tin gaskit, there this last few jobs, seems to be a better gaskit, still going ok,nice car to drive, dont make them any more, plant in england, shut, down, as far as i know,
