The 1984 Orange Bowl, featuring a new face in the College Football world, the Miami Hurricanes, taking on a team that was considered to be the greatest College Football team in the 114 year history of the sport, the 1983 Nebraska Cornhuskers. The offense was scary good, hanging up 52 points on average, which is amazing. Only one bad game against the defensive genius mind of Jimmy Johnson and Oklahoma State. On the other hand, Miami was destroyed by Florida earlier in the season, but Bernie Kosar managed to improve his game drastically, and Miami quietly won out, and they weren't considered for a national title until Illinois was blown out by UCLA (As seen in the beginning of this video) and Texas was stunned by Georgia in the Cotton Bowl. Tom Osborne led Turner Gill, Irving Fryar, and Mike Rozier to a huge day, but Howard Schnellenberger, who led Bernie Kosar, Keith Griffin and Eddie Brown, took advantage of Nebraska's D, which was not used to a pro-style Offense.
One of the best Orange Bowls ever
