I love living on Vancouver Island where there is such an abundance of wildlife, breath taking vistas, wonderful people and a place I am truly happy to call home. Everyone knows the famous spots like the Empress Hotel in Victoria, the Bastion in Nanaimo, etc. but I wanted to show some of the lesser known but equally beautiful spots this Island has to offer. The song Departure Bay is about Diana Kralls growing up on this beautiful island.

Where is that castle place at 3:24 (golf course?) on the island? I live in Campbell River traveled as far south as Nanaimo but didn't see that along the way. Also is that just a golf course or something more?

I have been to Victoria, and fell in love with all its beauty and splendor.
