A medley of the two great pieces from the FF series, composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
Story behind "Coin of Fate":
This song tells a story of two princes of the Kingdom of Figaro, whom after their father, the King of Figaro, dies, fall into the turmoil of having to decide who will take up the crown and shoulder the weight of the kingdom, which was at war with the Gestahl Empire; and who would be granted freedom to do whatever he wishes.
The elder brother, Edgar, decides to settle the decision with the toss of a coin. The winner of the toss would win the freedom to choose between being the king and taking up the responsibility of the kingdom; or not to be king, and lead a life of his own, doing whatever he wishes to do.
The younger brother Sabin, who was always fond of freedom and adventure, wins the toss and decides to leave the kingdom and lead a life of his own.
After ten years of separation, the brothers re-unite and Sabin finds out that because of Edgar's love for him, Edgar had rigged the coin which determined their fates ten years ago, to be the same on both sides, so that Sabin would win no matter what. Edgar, knowing his brother's desires, had sacrificed his own chance at freedom so that Sabin would not have to shoulder the weight of the kingdom.
Coin Song and Tsuki no Akari (Theme of Love), both great songs of the best FF games EVER (FFVI and IV acordingly) I really liked the way you put them both togheter, sounds really both sad and romantic in an odd but beautiful way. Congratulations, you're awesome.
