I searched on Youtube, but could not find a better performer than Elisabeth Schwarzkopf for the cantata by IS Bach № 51 ("Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen" («Praise God in all countries!") Continuation of this cantata can be found by copying and pasting into the search box Yu-tube tags from the following lines:
Elizabeth Schwarzkopf JS Bach Cantata № 51 (3.Aria. 4.Chorale. Alleluia)
Продолжение этой кантаты можно найти, скопировав и вставив в окно поиска Ю-туба теги из следующей строчки:

  • The tempo is too fast for everyone. I realize she is a wonderful singer ... for certain types of music. Her continuous vibrato is distracting and makes the whole thing sound sloppy. Try ny_l3ML1GfM (for some vibrato), _OECqantiWA (slower tempo), or Lhju4Ad_LBs (live). Many like Kirkby/Gardiner but I can't find it here.

  • @angryjalapeno Her voice takes us for a solo instrument like. Vocalist as instrumentalist phenomenon is extremely rare and only available to very few singers I know of only one more singer in this capacity.

  • Elisabeth Schwarzkopf may be superb; but the fact is that she would have benetifed from a very slightly slower tempo; and of course the trumpet soloist is, by modern standards, atroicious. I would very much like to know who it is; together with the date of the recording. Must have been before 1963, when Maurice André appeared on the trumpet scene and blasted every one else off stage for many years...

  • @barliman2001

Date of record is not specified, but there is a note: archival record. Shellac was purchased by me until 1961. I guess this recording Bolsheviks took as booty after World War II in Germany or Austria. Elisabeth Schwarzkopf great skill allows discussion of proposals to improve performance only in person with her.

  • Можно и стоит найти на Ю-тубе продолжение этой кантаты:

  • Can and should visit the U-tube extension of this cantata: Elizabeth Schwarzkopf JS Bach Cantata № 51 (3.Aria. 4.Chorale. Alleluia) BWV 51.wmv

  • What a discovery. I have also found a modern digital remastered recording of this generally available. Let us not forget that incredible performance with von K of the b minor mass, probably recorded about the same time. Schwarzkopf was excellent in roles besides the fluff.

  • @Cancrizans No doubt, your concerns are appropriate and justified, the main thing that you have found this video and I wish a lot of pleasure from her audition.

  • Thanks very much vladi565, maybe I gushed a bit on my post but I was so excited to find this recording, I never thought Schwarzkopf recorded this piece, very thankful my friend.
