Big Fish Audio has been the industry leader in creating modern and edgy Hip Hop sample and loop libraries for years. At long last the perfect tool to get any amateur or seasoned Urban music producer the sounds they need for top of the line music production is here in RiG: Urban Workstation. Big Fish Audio has joined forces with the engineers at Vir2 to create a virtual instrument tailor-made for the hip hop and R&B producer. You don't have to weed through instrument after instrument to find the right sound since each instrument in RiG has been recorded and edited to create instant inspiration for you, the modern producer.

  • I thinkl I am in love

  • @MrNytn2001 I understand your point - however, the sounds *are* the issue here - we're talking about a sound module / workstation - from BigFishAudio nonetheless! These guys are awesome. I was just really blown away by the sounds - and not in a good way. Maybe I just don't appreciate the aesthetic.

  • OMFG! IM DRAWING 200.00 OUT OF MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT RIGHT NOW TO GET THIS!

  • @FibiiMedia

I don't even think midi vs. natural sounds is the issue. I think it's songwriting and melody.

Urban music has been fine and beautiful either way, 70's, 80's, 90's and beyond whether live or midi instruments were used.

THE PROBLEM IS IF YOU CAN WRITE MELODY OVER AN INFECTIOUS BEAT OR NOT. With a quality storyline in the lyrics.

  • It's a shame that "hiphop" and "urban" production values have been reduced to general MIDI-sounding shit. While I can appreciate the (semi) retro aesthetic of using some of the earliest MIDI patches (form the 80s and 90s for example), the dumbing-down of the music and producer community insofar as the reproduction of acoustic instruments is a shame. "Urban strings"? Guitars? Saxes? Wow.

  • Amazing job for the price

  • How does this plugin compare to NI's Urban Arsenal 1 And 2 for straight up smooth R&B?
