  • Ohmygoodness I attempted to make something like this on my own (with help from studio friends) months ago and felt like I was guessing, and not sure where to go from there. I particularly like this video because you demonstrate what to do when you've cut too close to the join. That is the part I really botched. I'm going to have to go back and try again!! Thank you for your wonderful videos. So generous of you to share!

  • @15commandments yeah my school uses similar clay with a lot of small rocks. When I use recycled clay from the pug mill it has a lot more than when I use stuff straight from the bag.

  • Is it normal for clay to form a "sandy" feel when throwing them? The clay that my school uses (stoneware) gets a really nasty sandy feel when throwing that bugs me and I was wondering if that was normal or not.

  • Breathtaking! I love it !!!

You are such an inspiration !

And SO nice of you to show us HOW TO make it.

By the way - Can you show us in more detail what size and shape your favorite stick is ? I assume I can make one myself out of wood ? - or ?

  • simon abla en español porfavor amigo ....

  • simon are you wareing a studed belt. ^_^

  • I was looking to do something like this, that is so cool, thanks so much! :) I'll try it soon

  • Thanks Simon! I've been thinking about forms like this recently and I was so excited to see you post a video about it! I'll try it soon!

  • OMG that was great. I can't wait to put my own spin on it. You are always good to get someone thinking of different ways of doing things. I was burned out of throwing but you got my mojo going again. THANKS

  • Does it matter which direction you knead the clay?
