I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but talk about poorly directed... It felt like one big mash-up of broken or ignored cinematic conventions. If they ever end up making a live-action Halo movie, don't let them give it to Blomkamp...

But i will say this. District 9 was flippin amazing. I trust Blomkamp with Halo under the watch of Peter Jackson.

Halo is vastly overrated. I dunno why, but whenever I see kids hyping Halo, I can't help but think that they've missed all the good sci fi from the last few decades.

Seeing stuff like this makes me want a Halo movie even more.

But the fact of the matter is, could any director live up to the expectations that Halo already is?

And as seen time and time again with books turned into movies, if it would be directed by some bigshot, do we have the safety of knowing they aren't just going to turn it into another cheesy hollywood rip-off?

Its funny, inter galaxy space travel, sniper rifles that can go through 13 feet of flesh and bone, a war between humans and aliens, all this and people still use clippers to cut hair
