All the dislikes are Paul Simon snobs that wish he could sing like Jim. Paul is a great great songwriter. Perhaps the greatest, but he is not known for vocal ability. Nor does he need to be. He has accomplished so much with his own talent and for writing this song. But this is how Paul would sing the song if he could. I am skeptical when others cover my favorite song, but there are some that are killer and not necessarily as great as the original, but incredible in their own way.

@roseofaberdeen Okay.. they've both got great voices. I really enjoy Garfunkel's voice. I enjoy Simon's too, and together they are excellent!

Well thats kinda how Jim sings.
Thats just his style (as heard with Blue Rodeo). He's not trying to be 'over the top'... thats just the way he sings.
