Hey, Did you ever make that video that follow this one? How to use the knobs and faders? in logic?
-
i just got a mac & mpk49 & logic. I'm still a basic noob & don't know shit aha. can someone explain to me how to make my mpk49 get sound outta logic?
-
wow, all your doing is changing the pads note position, not the complicated, eg if that first pad was middle c and yo drum is c2 then scroll untill pad is c2 done, dont know why u need a 7 min vid for that....

@Kenzie646 yes, you can hook up the akai mpk49 to pro tools, any usb or midi controller will
work, you just have to set it as an input device in the pro tools preferences and you'll be good to go.

i have the mpk connected to the mpc and the computer. Using logic 8. I cant hear any sound from the monitors, only sound comes from the comp. can anyone help me out.

@alexrod714 what you need to do is in logic go to preferences/audio/devices/output device... and from the pulldown select your interface that is connected to your speakers. see if that works. if not, make sure that
in logic you have an instrument on the track you are trying to play. let me know.

Madjef I want to thanks you for the information it help very much . Now I looking at what you are doing here and my qu is I have reason4 software with the MPC2500 so is it pretty much the same setting to record from the mpc2500 to reason4? I get the sound from reason4 to the MPC2500 but its not recording the sounds to from the mpc to reason4. Any idea.. thanks again

@EARHUSTLIN1 , well recording the mpc2500 into reason is going to require that you utilize your audio outs from the mpc and record sounds as audio tracks to play inside of reason or like we used to do back in the day, once I get the mpc slaved to reason I would record utilizing as many outputs as i had available and believe me, i recommend the 8 out expansion board if you can find it. and record up to 8 sounds at once, kic, snare, hat, etc.
