New Lola B07/10 Audi of Swiss Spirit testing at Circuit de Lédenon in Lédenon, France (southern France). The team first tested their LMP1 car on April 20th. It has a twin-turbo 3.6 liter Audi V-8 (gasoline) with over 600 hp. Audi wanted to prove that the LMP1 rules don't favor diesel engines. Hartmut Kristen, Porsche's motorsport boss, thinks the rules favor diesels though. The project was put on hold in late June, 2007 and the team missed the 1,000 km of Nürburgring on the first of July.
Phoenix Racing was aligned with the Swiss Spirit team for 2008, but the team did not take the grid.

Audi Sport Team Joest and Champion Racing do not seem likely to race in the 12th annual Petit Le Mans powered by MAZDA6 on September 26 at Road Atlanta.
Audi Sport Team Joest should have raced in the 2009 1,000 km of Spa in Belgium like Team Peugeot Sport.

Audi Sport won the 2009 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, but they lost the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans. An Audi-powered Spyker finished 5th in the GT2 class of the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans, though. Audi pulled out of both the American Le Mans Series and the Le Mans Series in Europe for 2009, but they still compete in DTM which is boring.
