What span is saying is that the war is about protecting America and about oil, the two are not mutually exclusive. He also admitted that he feels that it is OK for governments to lie too their citizens if it is for the greater good, i.e. WMD's.

What would you say to the army offering young ppl college loans and the such by getting a let's say 2 or 3 yr commitment out of them, but also including in the fine print that the army can bring you back into the war when it deems necessary. Many ppl get drawn back like this.That's kind of wrong, don't you think.
Not to mention the legitimacy of the wars. But that's another question in itself.
