  • I guess you have never seen a true horseman start a colt..

Just proves to me that I was so right, he is a very sweet little horse..

The video makes Warrick look even more like a complete amateur..

  • Geez Reata you have not changed. What is your point?

So lassooing and flooding the horse like the other guys did was humane? What complete B.S.

Warwick at least has the dignity to not subject an already incredibly scared horse to force. At least the horse now has a chance.

I take my hat off to Warwicek for realising it was not the time or place to force the horse to respond to something it clearly wanted no part of.

  • Obviously you didn't see the Challenge otherwise you'd have seen the poor scared tormented horse on the Sunday when he confined it in a tiny square pen and prodded it with a stick. He tormented the little horse until it thought it had to fight back to survive. It was not a pretty sight. Finally the colt shutdown and he "sneaked" the halter on, he then proceeded to YANK its head. The horse wanted no part of Warrick because he has NO FEEL and no, I haven't changed and I never will, when will YOU?

  • I think your comments are not real fair. And which horse will be the better after further training. Maybe Warwicks will have more respect for him than the others. I know if a bloke rushed himself at me like the other 2 I wouldn't have the same respect....

  • And what comments are you talking about??

Don't put your human values on horsemanship, it shows your lack of knowledge.

  • I think Warwick was amazing. He upheld his beliefs in the McLean training system. I am looking forward to the updates on this colt on YouTube every friday. Go Warwick!!

  • And tell me what system is that??

  • Warwick is far from an amateur, that was far from a great place to start a horse and the AEBC system works. It just takes more time time than Parelli.

  • I have never posted, but I'm with Reata1; lack of timing and position. I don't know any of thee horsemen, but It was clear who spoke "horse" and who was trying to please the "let's do thefeel good" lack of horsemanship.

  • Obviously the McLean training system has changed since I saw it in Action at their property in Clonbinane. I was shock, disgusted and appalled but the way I saw the horses treated. Of course they know how to put on a show. I sure hope things have changed.

  • Shame he doesn't do that when training horses at home. I saw more than enough when I was there to never recommend the place. Shudder!

  • Come on people open your eyes Warwick was not amazing not effective!!! what the heck are you talking about???? He wasnt soft he wasnt even close to being related to the colt! Open your eyes!!!! Get some glasses on blind people!!!!

  • Actually if you do a search on Warwick McLean, he has just posted 2 clips on there riding the colt.

  • Wow... just getting to this clip Ratsee... you were right! That colt is trying so hard...
