A CIC Video preview trailer of forthcoming releases from Paramount Pictures from 1986/87 celebrating Paramounts 75th Aniversary. Includes trailers for Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Golden Child, The Whoopee Boys, Gung Ho, Children Of A Lesser God, Critical Condition, April Fool's Day, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and Top Gun.

This is my favourite trailer of all time and is really well put together by CIC Video, It is taken from my really old 1987 rental copy of Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning which I acquired in 1996 when my local Video Store closed down.

Please excuse the audio and video quality as this video is nearly as old as me and has been watched hundreds of times in its 20 plus year life time. In reply to my IMDB thread http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090655/board/flat/110349896 Some of these trailers including April Fool's Day are quite hard to find and seem to be in demand so ENJOY :).

  • Seeing that silver negative takes me back to a time when the trailers were one of the best things to watch on VHS. Most DVDs have trailers but it is not the same. But correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't some of these movies have the old Paramount logo and not the 75th Anniversary version?

  • Deadthevideo, I think the majority of these films were made in either 1985 or 1986 and were the last batch of films to carry the old logo. However this preview was made in early 87 so the old ident is still on the individual movie prints but were being advertised with the new 75 logo.

  • Was there a FP logo?

  • Sorry took so long to reply, No there wasn't a FP logo the presentations started with the cic logo you see at the start, hope that answers your question.

  • Holy Crap I have this on one of my Tapes! Witch one tape this from?

  • lemonsters08, It's from a uk rental release of Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning from 1987. :)

  • Agreed - my old VHS tapes have this sentimental value to them - old trailers are so much more fun to watch. I hardly ever skipped past the trailers on videos, but I usually do on DVDs.
