A fantastic bit of 16mm film shot by Bob Hart March 30, 1957. This is the first bit of video I have seen of the terminal, shot in the last years of its operation. By this time the main building was no longer in use, the area was used mostly as team tracks. Thanks to Phil Goldstein for finding this and making it available!

  • Wow what gem of a film, would love to see more, thanks!!

  • Thanks for sharing. I grew up in this area and to know more helps me understand more of the industrial area. Wished they kept it.

  • Very good . I often wondered if there was a video of CNJ in The Bronx .I read that the CNJ Bronx terminal was so busy that the railroad could not keep up with all the business so they just walked away from it .

  • Great video. I know Bob Hart. He's a member of my MRC. Every once in awhile he bring's in slides and videos he took from the 50's and 60's... GREAT STUFF!! I love watching what he documented. A real piece of history.
