Sixty years ago, Chinese People's Volunteers crossed the Yalu River to fight in the war to resist the US aggression and aid Korean.
The Korean War began in June, 1950.
The US troops entered the Korean peninsula in September. A month later, they crossed the 38th parallel, the military demarcation line between north and south Korea.
The Chinese People's Volunteers entered the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as US troops seized Pyongyang.
On October 25th, 1950, the war between the CPV and US troops began.
China said it is a just war against aggression. It would safeguard the nation and help maintain world peace. The volunteers showed their patriotism. They placed the interests of the country and the people above everything else.
They shared joy and sorrow and fought in unity with DPRK's troops. They opposed aggression and hegemonism.
By the end of the war in 1953, the US and China sent three-million troops to the battlefield. 1.34 million were from China.
180-thousand Chinese volunteers died and about 37-thousand US troops were killed in the war.
