"can you tell me what Arpeggios are use for?"
Arpeggios outline chords. An applied arpeggio can be the simple bassline of a song such as "16 Candles" or a more sophisticated walking bassline in jazz.
Even if a bassist is mostly staying on the root of a chord, he should still know the other notes in that chord.

@cuc333 A major third is 4 semitones. A minor third is 3 semitones.
A minor third is the third note of the minor scale, OR, the third note of the major scale that's been flattened one semitone.

Great lesson! I have only one question about it.
What is the diffrence between minor third and "standard" third?
Thank you

Those arpeggios sounds awesome to tap/hammer-on.
The minor is a bit hard to pull of fast, but I guess with a bit of practicing I will increase my speed.

Hey man can you break down the concept of an Arpegio, its confusion me and im play scales like dorian , and all a bunch of others... so if you can please tell how to play arpegios and how to start with them that would be awsome

@METALLMAN1000 An arpeggio is a chord or set of scale tone intervals played one at a time. Start with the root of a scale. Skip every other and you've got an arpeggio. That's the simplified explanation. It can get pretty hairy! LOL
