@Shanniquitie I think RP should be spoken by everyone in Britain! Its such a beautifal accent unlike all of the regional accents of Britain which none of us truly like.
Just look at legendry actors and actresses of Britain! Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, John Cleese, Rowan Ackinson, stephen fry, and of course Patricia Routledge! The list continues..

@Ilovecats112233 she's of an age when speaking RP (the Queen's English) was required of all theatre and television actors. that has changed now, but the lessons Patricia and her contemporaries learned are difficult to forget!

It's picky of me to notice, it's just that I'm a little like that myself. When I was in my pre-school years my dad worked and so my brother and I spent most of our time around our mother, consequently gaining the 'ah' sound instead of our regional 'ar' even though her accent is otherwise Southern (she was raised in North Wales). As I got a bit older, I gained the 'ar' sound from school influences, but then regained the 'ah' sound as a teen and have been that way since. My accent is fickle.

I'm a little muddled: at various stages throughout this video she said 'arrrsked' and 'arrrfter', although I was sure she pronounced these sort of words with an 'ah' sound in other videos. At times in this video her Northern twang was quite prominent; at other times she sounded Southern and her pronounciation of a very strongly emphasised 'much' was definitely more of a 'muhch' than 'mauch.'
